For House Helps / Caregivers

Professional Services Agreement

1. Nature of Engagement

  • Get My Maids acts strictly as a placement and service provider.
  • The employment relationship is directly between the House Help and the Client.
  • Get My Maids is not the direct employer.
  • All engagements must be made through authorized procedures.
  • Direct hiring or bypassing Get My Maids is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

2. Job Role & Responsibilities

  • The candidate agrees to perform only the duties clearly discussed and agreed upon at the time of hiring.
  • Duties may include cleaning, cooking, elderly care, pet care, or other agreed household work.
  • Refusal to perform agreed duties without valid reason may lead to termination.
  • Continuous non-performance of duties shall be treated as breach of contract.

3. Trial Period

  • A trial period (as mutually agreed) will apply at the time of placement.
  • Upon successful completion of the trial period, the placement shall be considered confirmed.
  • During the trial period, either party may terminate without penalty.
  • Replacement policy (if applicable) shall follow service provider rules.

4. Work Discipline & Code of Conduct

The House Help must:

  • Maintain respectful behavior toward all family members.
  • Follow instructions given by the employer.
  • Maintain punctuality, hygiene, and discipline.
  • Handle household property responsibly.

Immediate Termination & Blacklisting:

  • • Abusive language
  • • Verbal or physical abuse
  • • Threatening behavior
  • • Intentional disruption
  • • Substance abuse
  • • Theft or breach of trust

5. Honesty & Confidentiality

  1. 1. Theft, dishonesty, misrepresentation, or fraud will result in immediate termination and possible legal action.
  2. 2. The candidate must not:
    • Share confidential household information.
    • Take photographs or videos inside the house without permission.
    • Invite outsiders into the house without employer consent.
  3. 3. Disclosure of employer’s personal matters, finances, or household details to third parties is strictly prohibited.

6. Attendance & Leave Policy

  1. 1. The candidate must inform the employer in advance before taking leave.
  2. 2. Frequent or unnecessary leave is not permitted.
  3. 3. A minimum 15–20 days’ notice must be given before leaving the job.
  4. 4. Sudden job abandonment without notice will result in:
    • • Forfeiture of pending salary
    • • ₹5,000 penalty
    • • Blacklisting

7. Early Termination Clause

For fresher House Help (within 6 months):

  • A penalty of ₹4,000 shall apply.
  • Future placement privileges may be restricted.

8. Salary & Financial Policy

  1. 1. Salary shall be paid directly by the employer as mutually agreed.
  2. 2. Salary revisions must be discussed and mutually agreed.
  3. 3. The candidate shall not:
    • Demand a sudden salary increase.
    • Borrow money from neighbors or family.
    • Ask for advance payment.
  4. 4. All salary payments must be received only in the candidate’s personal bank account.
  5. 5. Get My Maids does not deduct salary except for penalties mentioned in this T & C.

9. Health & Hygiene

  1. 1. The candidate must maintain proper personal hygiene.
  2. 2. Any serious illness must be disclosed immediately.
  3. 3. Medical conditions affecting work performance must be informed to the Service Provider.
  4. 4. The employer reserves the right to request medical verification if required.

10. Behavior Boundaries

  1. 1. The candidate must maintain professional boundaries.
  2. 2. Emotional manipulation, interference in family matters, or spreading gossip is strictly prohibited.
  3. 3. False allegations against the employer will result in immediate legal action.

11. ID Proof & Verification

  1. 1. Valid Government ID and address proof must be submitted before joining.
  2. 2. Background verification may be conducted.
  3. 3. Any false documents or information will result in termination and legal action.

12. Replacement & Reassignment

  1. 1. Get My Maids is not responsible for:
    • • Theft • Misconduct • Personal disputes
  2. 2. However, the agency will assist in mediation or replacement as per policy.
  3. 3. Frequent job discontinuation may result in suspension or permanent removal from the placement database.

13. Special Substance Use & Misconduct Policy

Mandatory for live-in candidates

Strict Prohibition:

  • Consuming alcohol during employment period.
  • Storing alcohol inside employer premises.
  • Consuming Panparag, Gutka, Tobacco, Cigarettes, Beedi, or chewing tobacco.
  • Spitting tobacco, pan masala, or any substance inside or outside house premises.
  • Using any intoxicating or illegal substances.

Professional Conduct Requirement:

  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and respectful lifestyle.
  • Avoid habits causing discomfort, health risks, or property damage.
  • Represent Get My Maids professionally.

Consequences of Violation:

If found guilty of alcohol, tobacco use, spitting, or intoxicating substances:

  • 1
    Immediate termination
  • 2
    Penalty of pending salary (if legally applicable)
  • 3
    Immediate removal from premises
  • 4
    Permanent blacklisting
  • 5
    Legal action if property damage or misconduct occurs

14. Termination Rights

Services may be terminated if:

  • • Serious misconduct occurs
  • • Breach of trust
  • • Continuous non-performance of duties
  • • Violation of any clause mentioned above

Get My Maids reserves the right to terminate or suspend any House Help without prior notice in the interest of safety, legality, or service integrity.

15. Amendments

Get My Maids reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued association implies acceptance of revised Terms.
