Ethical Conduct & Safety
The Foundation of Our Relationship
Zero tolerance for racism and discrimination:
Any bias based on caste, religion, language, region, or ethnicity is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate service termination and permanent blacklisting of the client.
No verbal or physical abuse:
Shouting, threats, insults, or physical harm toward house helpers are strictly prohibited. Any abusive behavior will lead to immediate cancellation of services and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Fair and dignified treatment:
House helpers must always be respected and valued as professionals. Clients are required to provide a healthy, safe, and respectful working environment that upholds dignity, fairness, and mutual trust.
No retention of IDs or documents:
Clients are prohibited from keeping house helpers personal IDs, certificates, or original papers. Such violations of worker rights will lead to immediate service suspension, penalties, and possible legal consequences.
Privacy and safe working conditions:
House Helpers’ privacy must be respected, with no monitoring in private spaces or rest hours. Employers must ensure a secure, respectful, and safe environment is maintained at all times.
Extended Work Locations:
House helpers are employed for one household only. Their services cannot be shared in Bengaluru or extended outside Bangalore. Any violation of this rule will lead to strict action or termination.
Rest Time:
House helps must receive 10–11 hours of uninterrupted rest daily.
Adequate downtime ensures well-being, energy, and enthusiasm, enabling them to deliver quality care and service while maintaining health and professional dignity.
(This 10-11 hours of Rest time includes daytime after lunch and the night sleep)
The employer must grant the house helper a 2-hour afternoon rest period. This rest time supports the house helper’s well-being and productivity. Failure to comply may lead to disciplinary action.
Clients must ensure house helpers are not subjected to extended working hours and receive adequate breaks. Failure to provide rest may result in termination of services.
Standard Schedule Example
For example, a house helper starting at 6:00 AM with a 1-hour break should finish by 9:00 PM. With a 2-hour break, the workday may extend to 10:00 PM.
Overtime Policy
Repeated requests for extra hours result in an overtime fee of ₹100/hr.
Basic Facilities
Helpers must be provided drinking water, sanitation, and decent meals.
